At The Khalil School, we have created an invite only monthly meeting (Work in Progress) as a service to those currently in the early stages of conducting research on topics related to Islamic Psychology and/or Muslim mental health.
This is designed for researchers or graduate students working on their thesis to present their work and elicit feedback from an interdisciplinary team of experts in the field. Such experts include clinical trials experts, Islamic clergy, practitioners, theorists, public health experts, program evaluators, research methodologists, etc. It is a forum designed to elicit support for such research and promote quality and methodologically sound studies that would serve as valuable contributions to the growing discipline of Islamic Psychology.

Please be advised that this forum is specifically designed for projects that are currently a “working progress” and still in the developmental stages. Presentations should not be completed and finished products. The intent of this group is to elicit feedback and discussion to help inform your research project. Research topics can vary in their research methodologies, ranging from: quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, case study, theoretical/philosophical and even theological components of Muslim mental health and Islamic psychology.
